The Short Version
At the time of writing, AI Empire Media does not use affiliate links and does not run third-party advertising. We intend to introduce both. This page sets out the rules that apply when we do, so you know where you stand before anything changes.
We sell our own products, and we say so when we link to them. We are not paid to write positive reviews, and no advertiser or affiliate partner sees an article before it is published.
What an Affiliate Link Is
An affiliate link is a tracked URL. When you click it and go on to purchase a product or subscribe to a service, the merchant pays us a small percentage of the sale, or a flat referral fee. The price you pay is identical to the price you would pay arriving at the merchant directly.
Affiliate links help fund the research behind this site, including the time spent verifying pricing, testing tools, and cross-checking vendor claims.
How We Decide What to Recommend
Our recommendations are based on research and, where applicable, hands-on use. A product’s affiliate programme, commission rate, or absence of one has no bearing on whether we recommend it or how we rank it.
We regularly recommend tools that pay us nothing, including free tools and open-source software. We regularly criticise or advise against tools that do have affiliate programmes. If a product is a poor choice, we say so, whether or not there is a commission attached.
Where an article compares products and one or more carries an affiliate relationship, that relationship is disclosed in the article.
Advertising
Separately from affiliate links, we intend to display advertising, including advertising served through Google AdSense. Advertisers do not review, approve, or influence our editorial content. Ads will be clearly distinguishable from articles.
Our Own Products
We sell our own products, including Notion templates. When we link to something we made, it is our product, not an affiliate placement, and we identify it as ours. We earn the full price rather than a commission, and we think you should know that when you read our recommendation.
Our Commitment
We will always disclose material connections. We will never let a commission change a conclusion. When affiliate links or advertising go live, this page will be updated on the day it happens, not afterwards. If you ever find an article where you think a commercial relationship has affected our judgement, tell us at contact@aiempiremedia.com and we will look at it.
